As a commitment to our valued members, the FoodStream team hosted their first virtual Town Hall with the Department of Agriculture and Markets and the Department of Health.
This Town Hall answered many questions about the $25M Restaurant Resiliency Program . The Statewide initiative provides grants to RESTAURANTS so that they can offer thousands of nourishing meals to EMERGENCY FOOD PROVIDERS (EFPs), who serve underrepresented communities in New York.
According to the Governor, The Restaurant Resiliency Program partnered with New York's network of food banks and EFPs to purchase prepared meals from New York restaurants and deliver them to families in need. See regional grant allocation listed here.
Grants awarded under this program shall support the purchase of food and additional costs related to the preparation, provision, or delivery of meals and for any other expenses determined to be eligible under this program.
If you are an Emergency Food Provider, we trust that you have been notified by your regional food bank and are considering restaurant partners. Restaurants can follow this link and apply to be part of this exciting new program.
As New York continues to recover from the effects of the pandemic, the newly created Restaurant Resiliency Program sets aside $25 million to provide grants to restaurants that offer meals and other food-related items to people within distressed or underrepresented communities.
